Impossible Dream

Weeks went by
Years flipped too;
A face mapped your mind
A voice whispered cues.

You see a sequel to that dream
Every night without a blink;
Last night the rush was mounting
Tonight the blush is pink.

Couldn't ask for more
When life now is all smiles;
Believing fate will be friendly
You discount its fact files.

A thud you hear out loud today
Over your head, a lump you feel;
You wrestle with impossibilities
But the truth remains a dream.

Meelith Doshvay Juda

Beh chus shab che subah,
Meelith doshvay juda,
Beh chus lab che dua,
Meelith doshvay juda...!

Meaning:
I am the night and you are morning,
Being together too we are apart,
I am lips, you are prayer,
Being together too we are apart...!

She's more.

More often than often
I’m told by faces –
Known or unknown
That I
LOOK like her.
SMILE like her.
DRESS like her.
GET EMOTIONAL like her.
AM like her.

But I know,
She’s more.
Much more.

Coz only she can –
LOOK into my eyes and hear what she sees.
Make me SMILE, so effortlessly.
Envisage which DRESS would suit me and why.
Feel my feelings, GET EMOTIONAL and cry.

And only she can
BE me.
In all true sense,
“My mom” is She.

Ehsaas

Wo waqt thha thehra sa
Ya dil thum chuka thha?
Anjaani in raho mein jab
Saath wo chal pada tha.

Na baat chedi usne,
Na koshish maine ki;
Haste haste saal beete,
Aaj baat kuch khaas hui.

Kab kya se kya ban baithe,
Khabar kisko thhi?
Dost samaj rahe thhe;
Wo awaaz pyaar ki thhi.

Chaha thha ek dost ho;
Mil gaya pyaar hai.
Ehsaas aisa ho
Toh har pal naya hai.

GHAR AAJA SOHNEYA...!

Kalliyaan guzaaran keevayn raatan kaaliyan
(How can I spend these dark nights alone)
Dangdiyaan mainu ruttaan pyaar waaliyan
(Those moments full of love, keep stinging me)

Ho, tere baajon jee ni lagda
(Oh!! It just doesn't feel right after you)
Main te margayi thaa
(I just feel dead)
Aaja sohneya, ghar aaja sohneya
(My love come home, come home, my love)
Aaja sohneya, ghar aaja sohneya
(My love come home, come home, my love)

Haan diyaan sab kudiyaan
(The girls of my age)
Mainu taaney dayindiyaan
(Keep sneering at me)
Haase haase de wich
(They laugh at me)
Mainu kamli kehndiyan
(And call me crazy)

Aansoo aande rowaan
(The tears keep coming, so I cry)
Tere rah te baith ke
(While waiting for your return)
Haal mere nu loki
(Looking at me)
Hasdey ne vekh ke
(They laugh)

Dard wandhaave keda
(Who will share my pain)
Tere baajon aan ke
(After you have left)
Kol na baithe koi
(No one will sit with me)
Mainu teri jaan ke
(When they know I'm yours)

Twilight - The Turning Point

For 25 years, she’s lived it. A dream that seems so unreal to the world, but to her. A dream of a love that she strongly believes is meant to be, someday. Love that has the fire to ignite her soul as soon as their eyes met. Love that vows it’s only hers and forever.

After many twilights, came one by surprise and that “lucky love” loomed into her life. Deep down, she knows it is an epitome of their hearts in harmony. Like a spider-monkey, she bounces between “the unreal” and “the real” that seems so unreal. Yes, it is the forbidden bridge where all she can see is his mesmeric eyes trick her heart away with no trouble; where all she hears is his reassuring voice confirm his irrevocable love for her. Every time when words go mute, they doodle on the windshield and restrain their uncontrollable love which is too hard to hide anymore. Now, though with a stubborn heart to give in and a mind that is out of order to argue, she realizes what he has become for her – her only reason to smile, blush, dream, hope, live and fall in his “unknown love”... that she has finally known in its entirety, in time.

Unloving her dream now seems too unfavourable and unfeasible. So she decides to fight her head and heart out with all the right and wrongs. They have the best conversations even in silence; the best acquaintances even without meeting up; and the best love despite its complexities.

Today, they live in a world of their own and all that spins around here is the two of them. Caring no more about “sensibilities”, they give their love a deserving chance, making it their wishful choice for life and after-life.

Not a day goes by, not a night sees sunrise when she doesn’t think of him and vice versa. To her, he is and will always be her celestial Edward, and his beau Bella, she’ll forever be!

Miss you in it all !!!!

Dearest Sis,

Waking up by your side
For 25 yrs with a kiss;
Tomorrow next to an empty pillow
You, how can I not miss?

Never felt the need of a friend
Till date, coz I have 'you';
Lit'l secrets or stupid jokes
I only share with you.

You guide me to d right road;
When things go wrong, you shield;
I'll be lost and lonely without you
Baby, I'll always feel your need!

Come an occasion, we just love
Being clicked together and pose;
Now I want to capture as much of you
Coz tomorrow our distance won't be as close.

Shopping in our same good taste
And our movie plans for two;
From now on, life will seem tasteless
What else could it b without you?

Teaming up to tease sum1
Now we're having a good time;
What fun could it be tomorrow?
I'll be teamless 9 to 9!

Growing up with you was
How beautiful it's hard to tell;
All I can say is you'll belong to my heart,
Forever, like a precious pearl to a shell.

Miss you very much!

Love,
Lit'l sis

Dedicated to my Grandparents on their 60th anniversary!

Super Sixty

Sixty years of togetherness, and going super strong;
Turning a new chapter in the journey of their song.

He’s a man of few words, but a bundle of strength and smiles.
She’s his muscle to move around, a hundred thousand miles.

Simple, selfless and spirited, a wave of inspiration is he.
Striving to stand somehow, yet he makes us weak at the knees.

She wishes the best of all, for a friend or a fiend.
Clearly, a woman who leads by example, and one who must be queened.

Nothing stops her – no distance, no time, no age.
She’s the inseparable link between family ties, always.

So let’s put our hands together for the diamond couple, and cheer;
Wishing them many more memoirs to come, year-after-year!

The Bookmark II

By David Ponce

We like it when designers re-invent the wheel elegantly. In this case, someone’s re-invented the bookmark and actually made it more useful. The Bookmark II is a simple rubber band with an arrow on one side and a “Bookmark” tab on the other. The arrow allows you to point to the line you were last reading and the tab to open the book up to the appropriate page. It’s simple.

Unfortunately, we don’t know how to get a hold of one, though it’s allegedly made by Propaganda. We can’t find a reference to it on the site though. Hit the jump for another image. (Incidentally, we think they made an interesting choice of line on the picture above)

Subconsciously Inspired

Yesterday I dared to struggle, today I dare to win.

Whatever you do in life, do your best.

Just do it.

Inspiring, aren’t they? It’s hard to disagree that we all seek inspiration from poets and saints. We believe in what we read and hear from them. But I always wondered where do they get their source of inspiration from… until the day I “SUBCONSCIOUSLY” came up with a quote when I was questioned – “What is it that I want to ACHIEVE five years from now?” And I said, "It is something I'd like to talk about, the day it becomes my ACHIEVEMENT." :-) I paused, pondered and smiled at those words that rolled out. And I realized that we each of us contain a treasure of inspiration in our subconscious minds. We only need to unlock the key for those inspiring words to flow.

Well, I know, it may not be the greatest quote ever, but it did the greatest thing for me.

From that day on,
I talk to my subconscious mind more often.

From that day on,
I believe more in my mind, and myself.

From that day on,
I’m subconsciously inspired!
